With vertical, leafless stems, the young grow to 1 - 2 ft., 1/8 - ¼" in diameter. Mature stems reach 3 - 6 ft., 3/8 - ½" in diameter. Grows in continuously moist soil and tolerates full sun to partial shade. Growth can overcome small gardens. Great for containers, adding an unusual touch to your patio.
